The United States and South Korea have reached a provisional agreement advancing their cooperation on civil nuclear energy, including nuclear exports, the U.S. Department of Energy said in a statement on Monday.
The two countries' "commitment to promoting the expansion of peaceful nuclear energy while upholding the highest standards of nonproliferation, safety, safeguards, and security" on Nov. 1 will also help advance efforts to combat climate change, speed up energy transitions and address supply chains, it said.
