President Donald Trump said Monday he plans to impose tariffs on imported computer chips, pharmaceuticals and steel in an effort to get the producers to make them in the United States.
Trump, speaking at his Doral golf club to Republican lawmakers, said he would also impose tariffs on aluminum and copper — metals that are needed to produce U.S. military hardware.
"We have to bring production back to our country," he said.
