Former President Donald Trump's decisive win in Iowa puts him on a glide path to being the GOP nominee, and the early resolution of the 2024 matchup is a benefit for Trump and President Joe Biden, political analysts say.

The number of Republican presidential hopefuls continues to shrink – entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson suspended their campaigns after lackluster Iowa showings – and Trump maintains a commanding lead heading into New Hampshire.
