President-elect Donald Trump's three eldest children have often been targeted by anti-Trump critics in liberal-leaning New York City, the New York Post reported Sunday.
"You can’t be a Trump supporter in the city," one unnamed friend of Donald Trump Jr. told the Post.
Donald Jr., 38, Ivanka, 35, and Eric, 32, all were born and raised in the city, and continue to live there with their families.
According to the Post, about 150 protesters recently carried signs reading, "Dear Ivanka: your daddy is scary as hell," and chanted, "Tell Daddy no," outside one downtown Manhattan building. The eldest Trump daughter and husband, Jared Kushner, live on the Upper East Side.
"This is a plea to Ivanka to talk some sense because she’s in this transition committee for her father, and hopefully she can be his voice of reason," socialite filmmaker Arden Wohl, a friend of Ivanka’s, told New York magazine. "She’s the smartest of the children."
