President Trump may consider giving up on California altogether: The Golden State is now the bluest it has ever been, political scientists and historians say.

Perhaps Republicans staved off a blue wave nationally by adding to their margin in the Senate. But there’s no mistaking the wave that washed over the GOP in California.
