More Americans who received a refund last year are planning to stash their cash this filing season.

Of the 65 percent who expect a refund, 50 percent have earmarked it for savings, up slightly from those surveyed in 2018, according to the National Retail Federation’s annual tax-return poll.

Of those filing, 68 percent expect to submit their returns online, an increase of 1 percentage point from a year ago and up from 53 percent in 2009.
