Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler opened his second home for young girls who are the victims of abuse this week in Memphis, Tennessee.
Called Janie's House — a nod to the Aerosmith song "Janie's Got a Gun," which told the tale of a young girl abused by her father — the facility aims to help girls who are abused or neglected.
According to NBC News, the 70-year-old Tyler was at Monday's "scarf-cutting" ceremony.
"This does my heart and my soul good," Tyler said. "This is real."
The first Janie's House opened in 2017 near Atlanta. Tyler started the Janie's Fund foundation in 2015, and the charity gave nearly $500,000 to the project in Memphis, NBC reported.
The Memphis facility expects to house as many as 30 girls between the ages of 12 and 18 each year.
