Sheldon Adelson, a casino mogul and a friend of President Donald Trump, said he hopes to build a casino in North Korea, Casino News Daily reported.

Speaking at a Jerusalem charity event, Adelson, a Korean War veteran, said he hoped Trump could get North and South Korea to end the war so he could return to the country to open a casino there, the Casino News Daily report said.

Adelson was one of the main sponsors of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, the Casino News report noted.

When North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was in Singapore for the summit with Trump, he visited the Marina Bay Sands, a hotel casino owned by Adelson, Quartz reported.

North Korea had suggested that the U.S. help the country build a casino resort as part of a previously announced plan for an international tourist destination, the report said.
