President Donald Trump will need to focus on his legislative agenda over the next few weeks, as they have "only a shot of getting done" before Democrats take control of the House majority in January, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Friday.
"In the next 11 days, his key priorities only have a shot of getting done, because once the Democrats take over the House, the legislative piece of his agenda is really going to get narrowed," Spicer told Fox News' "Fox and Friends."
Trump's judicial confirmations will be able to proceed in the Senate, with Republicans increasing their majority, said Spicer, but he believes criminal justice reform and funding for the border wall will be stalled in the House.
Criminal justice reform could possibly come through a bipartisan agreement, though, but there is "no shot" at Trump's call for border wall funding, as most Democrats oppose it, said Spicer.
"I think any kind of hope for serious funding for a border wall has got to happen in the next few days," Spicer said, "Because after you lose the House of Representatives, I don’t see Nancy Pelosi doing anything to help him on that front."
