Frozen Sausage Falls on Roof in Florida in Meaty Mystery

By    |   Wednesday, 19 July 2017 05:14 PM EDT

The sound of 15 pounds of frozen sausage falling on their roof awakened a Florida family Saturday morning, and they still don’t know where it came from.

Travis Adair of Deerfield Beach said the sound of the packages being dropped sounded like thunder, ABC 10 reported. He and other family members went out to see what had caused the noise, and found the frozen sausage in packages in the yard and on the roof.

Adair said the packages were labeled William Land Service, which is a land-clearing company in Alabama.

Travis’s son Austin Adair was curious, so he called the company to find out what had happened.

“The guy had no idea what I was talking about and probably thought I was crazy,” he said, ABC 10 reported. He sent them photos of the sausage, but hasn’t heard back from them.

Mom Jennie Adair had her own theories of the event.

“I thought possibly it had fallen from a plane. I thought possibly it was something to do with a drug deal or something,” she said, ABC 10 reported. “I would love to know what really happened, because it’s just so, so odd.”

Twitter had its own theories, from aliens to a malfunctioning door on a plane.
