James Carville: Why I Like Rush

By    |   Monday, 23 April 2012 05:22 PM EDT

Left-leaning political consultant James Carville likes Rush Limbaugh, despite having deep ideological differences with the radio host, Carville said during an appearance on Limbaugh’s show.

Carville’s wife Mary Matalin was guest hosting the show during which she brought husband James on to discuss a variety of topics including his love for Limbaugh.

“We have profound, deep, ideological differences,” Carville admitted, but said that on a personal level they get along, in part due to Rush’s treatment of his wife.

“He’s got an in depth appreciation of sports which I do and he’s certainly a creative guy, look at how successful he has been over the years. You don’t have to paper up your differences . . . they don’t really need to be brought out anymore. He’s always been very good to my wife which is the most important thing to me. I care much more about how people treat you than they treat me.”
