Vice President Mike Pence's physician last fall alerted White House officials about Ronny Jackson's conduct, including allegations of aggressive and intimidating behavior, CNN reports.

The doctor, who CNN did not name, also said Jackson might have violated federal privacy protections for Karen Pence.

The report comes a week after Jackson withdrew his name from consideration as V.A. secretary following allegations he drank alcohol on the job, improperly prescribed and dispensed medications, and created a "toxic" work environment. Democrats also say he "wrecked" a car after drinking at a Secret Service going-away party.

Jackson, 50, who has served as White House physician to three presidents, including Trump, has denied the accusations, saying in a statement Thursday the "false allegations" distracted from his nomination.

During a visit to Camp David on Sept. 8, 2017, Karen Pence had a medical situation that required her to be taken to Walter Reed hospital. Jackson reportedly intervened with her care, which led to "an inadvertent disclosure of SLOTUS' medical information in a situation where ultimate discretion was of utmost importance," according to a memo obtained by CNN.

Jackson briefed "multiple parties" on Trump's White House staff "without specific consultation from the physician to the vice president."

"Dr. Jackson stated that it is not always possible to adhere to HIPAA at the White House," the memo said.

The doctor wrote three memos detailing instances where Jackson is said to have acted unprofessionally.

Chief of staff John Kelly and deputy chief of staff Joe Hagin were made aware of the incidents, and both said Pence's doctor should report the matter through the appropriate medical and military chains of command.
