President Donald Trump is touting Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., for governor of Florida.
Trump said DeSantis loves the country and would make a "great governor." The president's comments came in a tweet on Friday morning.
DeSantis is said to be considering making a gubernatorial bid, WESH-TV reported.
However, he has not officially declared as a candidate, the television station noted.
He had decided to run for the U.S. Senate in 2016, but dropped out when Sen. Marco Rubio decided to run for reelection., according to WESH.
