Mitt Romney was spotted in the taxi line at JFK, according to CNN host Brian Stelter's Twitter account Friday night.

The former Republican presidential candidate, who lost in 2012 to President Barack Obama's second term, was meeting with President-elect Donald Trump  on Saturday.

The above tweet seemed to make light of the notion Romney lives a frugal lifestyle for someone whose net worth, according to Forbes, was $230 million during his 2012 presidential run.

Romney stayed in modest accommodations during that campaign, including the West Palm Beach Courtyard by Marriott.  The New York Times also chronicled Romney's frugality included driving a Chevy Caprice station wagon, flying budget airlines like JetBlue, wearing Gap jeans and a Seiko watch.

"There isn’t much that bothers him more than wasting money," Tagg Romney, Mitt's oldest son, told The Times.

There have also been photos of Mitt Romney doing his own laundry and coverage on his fiscally frugal management of the Salt Lake City Olympics, where he reportedly charged employees for pizza and soda lunches, according to Politifact

"He is as cheap as it comes, and I think that carries over into everything he does,” longtime Romney friend and business partner Bob White added to The Times.
