Democrats will be all hands on deck for three days starting Tuesday in an effort built around the testimony of former special counsel Robert Mueller and his findings from the Russia investigation.
Axios obtained a copy of a six-page memo put together by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's team. The document contains a summary of Mueller's conclusions around Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and the areas where President Donald Trump may have obstructed justice.
Mueller cleared Trump of conspiring with Russia and did not come to a decision on whether to pursue obstruction charges. He will testify in front of the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees Wednesday about his findings as Democrats probe whether Trump broke the law.
The Department of Justice directed Mueller to stick to what's in his report, echoing what Mueller himself has said.
Politico reported that this week's Democratic effort to highlight the Mueller report will include social media posts using the hashtag #RetweetTheReport. There also are plans to react to what Mueller says in real-time on social media.
Pelosi's office was slated to send the talking points to the Democratic caucus Tuesday.
