Ricin Suspect Is Elvis Impersonator

The Mississippi man arrested after mail sent to a Mississippi senator and President Barack Obama tested positive for ricin is known by some in his hometown of Corinth as a celebrity impersonator.

One of his specialties: Elvis Presley, who was born in nearby Tupelo. The letters were said to have been mailed from Memphis, Tenn., where Presley lived as an adult.

Paul Kevin Curtis performs under the stage name “KC,” reports The Clarion-Ledger. Both letters were signed, “I am KC and I approve this message.”

The newspaper reported that Curtis expressed sympathy for the victims of Monday’s Boston Marathon bombing on his Facebook page:

“Heart breaking. I have an 8 year old son with the smile of an angel. This world is not what it used to be and the hopes of all are not what they ‘USED’ to be. We have let God down. We removed prayer from schools in 62 . . . we have staged wars simply for profits in oil and drugs . . . we have lied our way from the capitol to the pulpit. We the people should be ashamed. I weep for the future of our children. God bless.”

Also on his Facebook page was this message posted about 1:30 a.m. (local time) Wednesday: “WTH is at my door this time of night??????????”

The page had photos of a shotgun shell pushed through the trigger of a pistol with the caption, “say hello to my little friend.”

One the posts on his page read, “Hey, Kevin . . . did you do this ? The 'Poisoned Letter' attacks ? I just saw on FOX News that you are being questioned about it . . . I hope this is not true . . . I've known you a long time . . . definately not cool, man . . . ”
