The anti-Israel group Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS), calling for Radiohead to cancel a July 19 show in Tel Aviv, Israel, received an unofficial response Friday in Glasgow, Scotland, from band frontman Thom Yorke: A reported middle finger to protesters.
With pro-Palestinian protesters waving flags and signs calling for the #canceltelaviv movement during Friday's concert, according to Israel Hayom, video captured Yorke flipping his middle finger and repeating "some f—ing people" four times between songs, The Washington Free Beacon reported.
The group Glasgow PalAction released a tribute called "Let Down" in response to Radiohead vowing to keep its July 19 date in Tel Aviv.
Yorke had told "Rolling Stone" of its intentions last month, calling the protests "extremely upsetting" and "divisive."
"All of this creates divisive energy," Yorke told "Rolling Stone." "You're not bringing people together. You're not encouraging dialogue or a sense of understanding."
