Calif. Poll: Trump, Garvey Chase Dems in Blue State

Former President Donald Trump trails President Joe Biden by 12 points in California, according to a new survey by Emerson College.

Meanwhile, former Los Angeles Dodgers star Steve Garvey is in a tight race with Democrats in the state's U.S. Senate primary to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

Survey results:

  • 43% say they back Biden
  • 31% say they favor Trump
  • 8% say they support Robert Kennedy Jr.
  • 2% say they back Green Party candidate Jill Stein
  • 1% sat they favor Cornel West
  • 16% were undecided

Senate primary results:

  •   16% say they support Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff
  •   13% say they favor Democrat Rep. Katie Porter
  •   10% say they back Garvey
  •   9% say they support Democrat Rep. Barbara Lee
  •   No other candidate got more than 3%
  •   39% were undecided

The poll, conducted Nov. 11-14, surveyed 1,000 registered voters in California. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
