Barack Obama’s official photographer has taken a tongue-in-cheek swipe at President Donald Trump for condemning Michelle Wolf’s over-the-top jokes at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
Pete Souza posted on Instagram a comical picture he snapped of sitcom king Jerry Seinfeld knocking on an Oval Office window to get Obama’s attention in December 2015.
Souza, who was Obama’s official White House lensman, captioned the photo: "Back in the day when a comedian was a welcome intrusion in Washington."
The crack was a response to Trump’s fury at Wolf who mercilessly joked about him and his White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders last Saturday night.
Trump took to Twitter to call the flamed-haired performer a "filthy" comedian after she made jokes such as, "Here we are, the White House correspondents' dinner: Like a porn star says when she's about to have sex with a Trump, let's get this over with."
Souza’s photo was taken as when Seinfeld visited the White House to film an episode of his series, "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."
The shutterbug is no stranger to tweaking Trump. Last week, after the commander in chief revealed he had been too busy running the country to buy his wife Melania a present on her 48th birthday, Souza posted another swipe on Instagram.
