Bill O'Reilly cautioned President Donald Trump on issuing a pardon to his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort during an interview with Newsmax TV, saying it would not look good and "tax cheats" should not receive pardons.
During an appearance on Monday's "The Wayne Allyn Root Show," O'Reilly offered his thoughts about Manafort's conviction on bank and tax fraud from last week.
"At this point, I don't think a Manafort pardon would be a good idea," O'Reilly said. "The guy is a tax cheat to the tune of tens of millions of dollars.
"Bill Clinton, you'll remember, pardoned Marc Rich, the worst tax cheat in history. The media didn't care, that was done on the last day of Clinton's tenure in office. . . . I don't think tax cheats should be pardoned, so I hope he doesn't do that with Manafort."
