Robocalls Drum Up Support for Obama Impeachment

By    |   Thursday, 15 November 2012 11:32 AM EST

The presidential election is over, but the robocalls haven’t stopped as one conservative group has targeted residents of at least four states with a recording asking for support to impeach President Barack Obama.

The Conservative Majority Fund is using the recorded calls to ask for donations in its effort to highlight potential “high crimes and misdemeanors” that would force Congress to kick the newly re-elected president out of office, reported Huffington Post.

“If the thought of Obama’s next four years makes you cringe, you need to hear this: We just learned that obama’s immediate plans are to close Guantanamo, give full amnesty to illegal aliens, and give the United Nations the authority to tax Americans. And this is just in the short-term,” the recorded message says. “Our only recourse now is to move forward with the full impeachment of President Obama.”

The calls have been received by people in Washington, Colorado, Virginia, and New Jersey, according to StopPoliticalCalls.org.
