President Donald Trump on Tuesday called upon the new publisher of The New York Times to heed the vision of the paper's founder and treat him more fairly going forward.

Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr. retired on Dec. 31, handing over the publisher reins to son Arthur G. Sulzberger.
