If Donald Trump is elected president in November, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman joked that he would consider a move to the Dominican Republic and noted that he has been the subject of "gruesome," anti-Semitic attacks from Trump supporters since the Trump University lawsuit in 2013, The New York Daily News reports.

"You guys can reach me in the Dominican Republic if there is a Trump administration," he said in an appearance before the Daily News editorial board Thursday.

Schneiderman, a Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, accused Trump of fraud over "his now defunct Trump University."

While Trump has denied any claim brought by Schneiderman, he has – on numerous occasions – described the attorney general as a "total lightweight."

This week, Trump, in an attempt to broaden his appeal to minorities, called Clinton a "bigot" who "takes minority voters for granted."

In response, Schneiderman warned: "You don't get to choose your bigots. Once you go after Muslims and you go after Mexicans, it's open season."

He added, "This year's presidential campaign has sort of ripped the cover off all of this sort of craziness and delusion in the country and it is disturbing.

"Although, I think probably we are better off having it out in the open rather than having winks and dog whistles for the bigots," Schneiderman said.

According to the New York Daily news, on a motion by Trump's lawyers, the highest court is expected to hold a hearing this fall – after the November election – to sack the fraud claims brought by Schneiderman.
