Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson referred to an episode of television’s “Seinfeld” during the CNN debate – and Julia Louis-Dreyfus thought it was rather strange.
“I don’t think the Democratic Party should be surprised that so many Americans believe yada, yada, yada,” Williamson said Tuesday night.
Louis-Dreyfus, who co- starred in “Seinfeld,” is known for wielding the "yada" catchphrase as Elaine Benes on the legendary show, Mashable noted. The actress, who also portrayed Vice President Selina Meyer in HBO’s “Veep” series, called the reference “bizarre.”
"I guess she's gonna pick me as her running mate? Is that what that means?" she said during an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday night.
“It's kind of like worlds colliding and then some, right?" she said. "It'll be weird when they say, 'No soup for you!'"
