Women's March leader Linda Sarsour is pointing to former Vice President Joe Biden's latest gaffe to raise questions about his health and fitness for the White House.
Biden, 76, the Democratic Party's current front-runner, on Saturday confused New Hampshire and Vermont.
"I love this place," he told reporters in Keene, New Hampshire. "Look, what's not to like about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it — and what a neat town."
Sarsour took to Twitter on Sunday: "This is actually not funny," she said in a post that included video of Biden's comments. "It's very sad."
"These can't just be all gaffes," Sarsour continued. "People need to be worrying about VP Biden's overall health."
Last month, Sarsour raised other issues about Biden, though she tweeted she would "absolutely vote for him" if he won the nomination. "I will knock doors till my knuckles bleed.
"For now," Sarsour said in the same post, however, "don't tell me Biden is the best we can do, or that he is the kind of president we deserve."
Other gaffes Biden made this month included:
- Mistakenly claiming the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert Kennedy were assassinated in "the late '70s." They were both shot to death in 1968.
- Referring to former British Prime Minister Theresa May as Margaret Thatcher, who served from 1979 to 1990.
- Saying, "Poor kids are just as bright, just as talented, as white kids," before pausing and adding, "wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids."
- Falsely claiming he was vice president during the 2018 shooting in Parkland, Florida. He left office in January 2017.
