LIGNET: Mammoth 'Bunker-Buster' Bomb Unlikely to Ever Be Used

The Pentagon's new and improved bunker buster bomb is being touted as the lone weapon that can destroy underground Iranian nuclear sites. The 20-foot-long, 30,000-pound bomb has a better directional system, an enhanced ability to evade missile defense systems, and can dig deeper into solid rock before exploding. But it has so many limitations that it is likely to waste away in a storage site, unused.
