Reality television star Kim Kardashian will meet with President Donald Trump on Wednesday afternoon to push for the pardon of a woman serving a life sentence for a first-time drug offense, Vanity Fair is reporting.
Kardashian is expected to first meet with Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, a White House adviser, before sitting down with the president, the magazine said.
Kardashian will not be bringing in a camera crew for her show, "Keeping up with the Kardashians." She is also not expected to be accompanied by her husband Kanye West. However, there are talks of him coming to the White House at a later date, according to Vanity Fair.
Kardashian hopes to press for the pardon of Alice Johnson, a 62-year-old great-grandmother, according to Vanity Fair.
Johnson, has been serving a life sentence in a federal prison since 1996.
She and 14 others were busted on drug and money laundering charges in 1993. Johnson reportedly admits she acted as a go-between and relayed messages to dealers. However, she insists she never sold drugs for the Memphis, Tennessee peddlers.
The Hill reported Johnson had been expected to be released during the Obama administration, but was passed over.
