Fox Business Network host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery Wednesday asked President Donald Trump's former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski if he had been drinking after he slurred his words during an interview on her program.

During the interview on the "Kennedy" program, Lewandowski was criticizing House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff and Democrats for the impeachment inquiry spurred by the July 25 phone call between Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy when Kennedy, the name Montgomery uses on Fox Business, interrupted him, reports the Washington Examiner.

"Corey?" she said. "Did you have a little Merlot with dinner?"

"No!" he replied, laughing. "Should I have?"

"You sound a little slurry, you sound a little Biden-esque," Kennedy told him before ending the interview as laughter could be heard from her show's crew. After she ended the interview, she commented "Maybe [he could use] a cup of coffee."

Earlier this week, Lewandowski, who has been mulling a run to represent New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate, said it's "fair" to say he may not run, in favor of working toward Trump's re-election, but later in the day told another media outlet that he wasn't reconsidering anything.
