Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican, blasted President Donald Trump this week for retweeting a picture of his political opponents in jail.
Trump retweeted a picture Thursday of his political opponents, including special counsel Robert Mueller, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, and deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, behind bars.
“I think it's terrible,” Kasich said on MSNBC, when asked by Chris Matthews about the picture.
"I mean, look, the country's divided enough," he said. "People are hungering for an end to all this. The name-calling. The chaos. And you're the president, when you're putting things out like this ... Look Chris, I'm the governor of the 7th-largest state in the country. I got things that make me mad, get me upset. [But] I don't start putting out a list of people that are my enemies."
Kasich added that he “thought we got over that when Nixon left.”
