There is speculation that some of the lyrics in a new Jay-Z song take a shot at Kanye West for the latter's support of President Donald Trump.
According to HuffPost, the lyrics appear to be a direct reference to West wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat, which he's done in photos posted to his Twitter account and during an Oval Office meeting with Trump.
The song appears on a new album by fellow rapper Meek Mill. Here are the lyrics in question, in which West is referred to as "Ye:"
"No red hat, don't Michael and Prince me and Ye,
"They separate you when you got Michael and Prince's DNA,
"I ain't one of these house n****s you bought,
"My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours,
"My spou ― c'mon, man ― my route better of course …"
He said this later in the song, which could be a reference to Trump's hair:
"My hair free, carefree, n****s ain't near free.
"Enjoy your chains, what's your employer name? With the hairpiece?"
West has been an outspoken supporter of Trump in the past, although he recently toned down his political rhetoric after a headline-grabbing appearance in the Oval Office with Trump.
Jay-Z wrote on Twitter Friday that the lines were not designed to cause friction between the two rap stars.
"The line clearly meant don't pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat) now go pick up Meek album. Drake and Meek on there together," he wrote.
West has yet to comment on the song.
