Former Vice President Kamala Harris is relaunching her KamalaHQ social media account, a move that is fueling fresh speculation about a possible 2028 presidential bid.
The account already boasts a large online following, with more than 1 million followers on X and more than 5 million on TikTok, as Harris and her allies look to maintain a national political presence beyond the 2024 election cycle.
Harris is partnering with the progressive group People for the American Way, which says the effort is designed to create long-term infrastructure for Democrats and progressive activists.
"Conservatives build permanent organizing infrastructure. Progressives have historically built machines that dismantle after Election Day. Headquarters is the end of that cycle," the group said in a press release, adding that the new operation also plans to expand to Substack, YouTube, and other platforms.
In an announcement video, Harris described the account as a hub for political updates and engagement with leaders across the country.
"It's where you can go online to get the latest of what's going on, and also to meet and revisit with some of our great and courageous leaders, be they elected leaders, community leaders, civic leaders, faith leaders, young leaders. I'm really excited about it. Stay engaged, and I'll see you out there," Harris said.
The relaunch signals Harris' continued prominence within the Democratic Party and comes as questions persist about her political future, including whether she may seek the White House in 2028.
