President Donald Trump warned Thursday he will "get involved" with the FBI and Justice Department if they do not "start doing their job and doing it right" — continuing his criticism of their alleged partisan bias.

At a campaign rally in Evansville, Indiana, for Rep. Mike Braun, R-Ind., in his Senate campaign against incumbent Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., Trump railed at familiar targets, including the media.

"We've got stories that are so big and the media doesn't pick them up," Trump said. "If it was about a Republican or conservative, it would be front page of every newspaper. And we have them, and they just don't want to write them. A dishonest group of people."

He then turned his attention on the Department of Justice and the FBI.

"Our Justice Department and our FBI . . . they have incredible people," he said, immediately adding, however: "Our Justice Department and our FBI, they have to start doing their job and doing it right and doing it now. People are angry. People are angry. What's happening is a disgrace.

"At some point, if it doesn't straighten out properly — I want them to do their job — I will get involved, and I'll get in there if I have to. . . . Disgraceful."

Trump has been harshly critical of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe, which is being overseen by the Justice Department — as well as FBI agents criticized for being allegedly politically biased.
