Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel suggested to President Donald Trump on Saturday that he quit his "boring job" and said the president could then "have my show all to yourself," The Hill reported Saturday.
Kimmel tweeted the idea following a tweet earlier Saturday morning by Trump where the president claimed that, given the trouncing late night hosts generally have been giving him since taking office, he should have "equal time."
Kimmel has recently taken to offering political commentary on his show, sometimes with tears, on issues including healthcare and gun rights. He sparked a backlash this week on social media in a tweet where he called gun rights activists "crazies," the Washington Examiner reported Friday.
And, on Thursday, Kimmel criticized Trump's attacks on NBC News, saying "no breathing human on the planet Earth produces more fake news than Donald Trump," the Hill reported.
