FBI director James Comey spent nearly an hour at the White House Friday for what was called a "routine meeting."
Comey's motorcade was seen pulling into the White House shortly before 2:30 p.m. Just under an hour later, he exited the West Wing and left.
CNBC reported that Comey's appearance at the White House was for a "routine interagency meeting," although the subject matter of that meeting was not clear.
Comey has been in the spotlight this week after he testified on Capitol Hill and said there is no evidence to suggest Trump Tower, President Donald Trump, or anyone on his campaign or transition teams were subjected to surveillance actions last year. Other reports have suggested otherwise.
