Ivanka Trump says in a new interview that she's not "really not" concerned about herself or any loved ones becoming entangled in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation and that she "barely" knew about a Moscow hotel deal that was being pursued while her father was running for president.
“There was never a binding contract," Trump told Abby Huntsman in an interview to air on "The View" Friday, reports ABC News. "I never talked with a third party outside of the organization about it. We could have had 40 or 50 deals like that, that were floating around, that somebody was looking at. Nobody visited it to see if it was worth our time. So this was not exactly like an advanced project."
The Moscow deal would not have been a "strange thing," said Trump.
"We weren't even advanced enough that anyone had even visited the prospective project site," she said.
Trump also told Huntsman that she cannot explain why there are people who work for President Donald Trump who leak damaging information from the White House, but said she does know who some of the leakers have been ― and added that some are not still there.
Trump, a senior advisor for her father, also said she thinks the country can come together on comprehensive immigration reform, as both parties recognize the immigration system is "deeply flawed."
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has continued to block the president from border wall funds, is a "formidable speaker," said Trump, and a "formidable politician."
