Issa Not Finished With Holder or Fast and Furious Just Yet

The “Fast and Furious” report may be complete but Rep. Darrell Issa is still pressing ahead on some unfinished business with Attorney General Eric Holder, Roll Call reported.

Issa, the House Oversight and Government Reform chairman, will press ahead with a civil lawsuit attempting to compel Holder to hand over more documents about the “Fast and Furious” probe, Issa’s spokesman Frederick Hill told Roll Call.

Hill told Roll Call the findings of the report "only enhances the importance of the House moving forward in its civil action against President [Barack Obama's] flawed claim of executive privilege."

The report by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz skewered the “Fast and Furious” operation as "seriously flawed," according to Roll Call, and said agents for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ignored consider public safety as they let about 2,000 firearms fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels as part of the operation.
