Israel’s security cabinet decided Sunday on a series of measures to deter new Palestinian attacks after a terrorist rammed his truck into a group of soldiers in Jerusalem, killing four and wounding 15, The Times of Israel reported.

In decisions similar to ones taken following previous attacks in a wave of terror over the past year and a half, the security cabinet said it would not release the body of the terrorist to the family in order to prevent a public funeral in which the attack would be celebrated and to also deny requests for family reunification of relatives in the West Bank and Gaza.

The minsters also said that the home of the terrorist, who is a father of four, will be destroyed, and ordered security forces to cordon off the Jerusalem Arab neighborhood in which he lived and from which many terrorist attacks have originated.

In addition, the cabinet ordered security services to arrestanyone praising the attack and to place in administrative detention anyone who expresses support for Islamic State, as the terrorist reportedly did.

Nine people have been arrested, including five family members of the terrorist, after security forces carried out raids into the Arab neighborhood.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that all signs point to the terrorist as a supporter of Islamic State, The Jerusalem Post reported.

Netanyahu added that there may be a connection between this attack and similar ones by Islamic State recently in France and Berlin.
