ISIS supporters are sharing a disturbing image threatening a holiday strike in New York City — a poster of Santa Claus standing alongside a case of dynamite as he looks into a crowd in Times Square.
"We meet at Christmas in New York . . . soon," a black-and-white caption declares.
The chilling warning was posted Monday by the Daily Mail.
The propaganda follows similar warnings of Christmas attacks across Europe.
According to the Daily Mail, terrorists, using encrypted communication channels, have been sharing posters of London's Regent Street decked out in Christmas lights, and Paris' Eiffel Tower with Christmas markets in the foreground.
Images of jihadists and blood have been superimposed on the scenes, along with a message in English, French, and German advising: "Soon on your holidays," the Mail reported.
Earlier Monday, a posting of St. Peter's Square in the Vatican urged terrorists: "Do not hold back with your blood, the reward is paradise."
The wave of Christmas threats echoes the bloodshed at a Berlin Christmas Market last year, where Tunisian asylum seeker Anis Amri drove a truck into holiday shoppers last Dec. 19, killing 12 people.
PJ Media reported a June 2016 video released on an ISIS-affiliated media outlet also portrayed a suicide bomber striking Times Square.
