The Iranian government is moving quickly to exploit the growing social instability in Venezuela, where shortages of food and essential goods have touched off protests and record-high inflation.

Iran's ultimate objective, experts say: To establish a geopolitical foothold in America's own hemisphere that it could use to launch revolutionary operations against its hated foe, the United States of America.
