Huckabee: Presidential Contest Has Long Way to Go

By    |   Wednesday, 08 February 2012 03:47 PM EST

Rick Santorum’s sweep of Tuesday’s presidential primary/caucus contests in Missouri, Minnesota, and Colorado led many observers to conclude that the race remains wide open. And former Arkansas GOP Gov. Mike Huckabee is one of them, The Hill reports.

"I really was surprised, and more by the margin. It was significant, and a very big night for Rick Santorum,” the 2008 presidential candidate said on Fox News, according to The Hill.

“And I think what it shows is that this race is a long way from over. After each of the contests, there's usually the pundits who come on and say 'Well, Romney is inevitable.’ ... I think what we saw yesterday was that nobody is the inevitable anything other than the inevitable fighter to try and stay in this race."
