Hillary Clinton has scheduled a town hall event for June 17 to be televised by CNN, Politico reported.

The town hall be moderated by CNN's chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, and take place at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., Politico said.

The event will be at 5 p.m. Eastern time. Jake Tapper will anchor a special hour of "The Lead" live from the Newseum before the town hall, according to the political news website. After the town hall concludes, Wolf Blitzer will anchor "The Situation Room" from the Newseum.

The former secretary of state will take questions from Amanpour and members of the public, Politico said, quoting a press release.

The former first lady's new memoir, "Hard Choices," arrives in stores on June 10. The U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden is expected to be a major topic in the book, The Washington Post reported.
