With reports swirling disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein could be arrested on rape charges, he has hired a high-profile lawyer who once represented former International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn.

Strauss-Kahn was accused of trying to rape a hotel maid during a 2011 stay in New York City. Lawyer Ben Brafman worked for Strauss-Kahn at the time before the charges were eventually dropped.

According to Page Six, Weinstein has hired Brafman and Blair Berk to serve as his legal counsel. It was reported Tuesday the Manhattan District Attorney is looking to indict Weinstein on rape charges as soon as next week.

"Blair Berk and Ben Brafman will be defending Mr. Weinstein in any matters in New York," a Weinstein spokeswoman told Page Six.

The Hollywood Reporter claimed Berk has represented actor Mel Gibson, actress Lindsay Lohan, and musician Kanye West over the years.

Brafman, according to Page Six, has worked for musician Sean "Diddy" Combs, businessman Martin Shkreli, and retired NFL wide receiver Plaxico Burress.

Actress Paz de la Huerta has accused Weinstein of raping her twice in 2010. Several other women have come forward with allegations of either sexual harassment or sexual assault against Weinstein, who was fired from the production company he founded after the allegations began to surface last month.
