The Fulton County District Attorney's office agreed Thursday to privately reveal the names of all 30 unindicted co-conspirators to legal teams for Donald Trump and the 18 co-defendants in the upcoming criminal trials for trying to subvert the 2020 election.
First up: Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell.
Fulton County prosecutor Nathan Wade vowed to turn those over at the outset of a hearing Thursday before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee.
The request was originally made by lawyers for Chesebro and Powell, who are scheduled to be the first to go to trial on Oct. 23. The pair filed for speedy trials and they will be tried separately from Trump and the other co-defendants, McAfee ruled earlier in Thursday's hearing.
Wade said prosecutors purposely omitted the names of the unindicted from the indictment, saying it's “frowned upon” to make public the names of those not charged.
A report last week said a grand jury recommended charges be brought against 39 overall. Those names included Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., former U.S. Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue of Georgia, and former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn. It's unclear if any of them were named as unindicted co-conspirators in the sweeping indictment.
Lawyers for Chesebro and Powell are also in court Thursday seeking to interview the grand jurors and reveal the sealed transcripts that led to the indictment.
Powell is facing six counts, including conspiracy to commit election fraud. Additionally, she faces charges linked to a breach of the voting system in Coffee County, Georgia.
Chesebro is facing seven charges, including conspiracy and a violation of Georgia's RICO act.
