General Motors is recalling 217,000 vehicles throughout North America to repair a leak in transmission oil that could lead to fire or cause the car to stop, accourding to The Hill.

GM's recall included 2018 Chevrolet Malibu and the 2018 and 2019 Chevrolet Cruze and Buick LaCrosse. The recall also included the 2020 Cadillac XT6 and the 2019 through 2020 Buick Encore, Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Blazer.

The manufacturer said two bolts may be absent in the stop-start system which could contribute to fires. Still, GM said it hasn't heard about any reports of fires or accidents yet.
