Evangelical preacher Franklin Graham took to Facebook on Thursday to condemn a $60K settlement given to a transgender teacher in Oregon who felt harassed by wrong pronouns.
According to Graham's Facebook post:
The 5th-grade teacher, Leo Soell, said she was "misgendered" by her co-workers.
And in addition to the award for emotional damages, the principal of the elementary school in the Gresham-Barlow School District Heidi Lasher reminded school employees to use "correct names and pronouns" when addressing "transgender or gender non-conforming employees" or risk being fired, according to
the Christian Post.
"That’s incredible! Use 'correct' pronouns?" Graham wrote on Facebook. "Doesn't a person's DNA or birth certificate count for anything? Shouldn't fact override fantasy? God created people male and female."
