The terrorist group ISIS on Sunday claimed responsibility for the attack in France where a man shouting "Allahu Akbar" killed two women at a train station before police shot him dead, the Mirror reported.
The attack happened early Sunday in the southern port of Marseille at the Gare de Marseille-Saint-Charles. The victims were 17 and 20.
A witness told Reuters she saw a man take out a knife from his sleeve and then stab a young girl and then a second woman, shouting what could have been "Allahu Akbar," which means "God is the greatest" in Arabic.
France has been in a state of emergency following a slew of attacks by Islamist militants over the last two years, including the attack in Paris in 2015 which killed 130 people.
