Filmmakers Explore Political Divisions During Kid Rock Cruise

Two filmmakers have released a documentary that explores political divisions and takes place on a Kid Rock boat cruise, The Hill reported.

Michael Feld, a self-described "liberal hipster from Los Angeles" and friend Rob Edgecomb shot the 16-minute movie on board the "Chillin’ The Most" cruise sponsored by Kid Rock, a singer and rapper who supports Donald Trump.

Filming their movie changed their opinions about Trump supporters, they said. The Kid Rock fans on the cruise “don’t give a **** who you are or what your deal is, as long as you’re there to have a good time," Feld said.

"We realized that a lot of those people were on vacation to not talk about politics," Feld said.

"We don’t need to be as torn apart as we actually are," he added.

"Even on a Kid Rock cruise, we were able to become friends with people who under any other circumstances we would not have anything in common,” the filmmaker said, The Hill reported.

The movie is available on Vimeo.

“This film is about taking a chance, learning how to disagree without hating one another, and the reminder that we’re not as divided as we’re made to believe we are,” the filmmakers said in the Vimeo movie description.

"As our captain Kid Rock said, 'Nobody on this cruise has a problem with anybody. We love each other and we are what forms America right here,'" the filmmakers said.

Kid Rock apologized in June for claiming that he was running for public office. "There were governors and senators that endorsed me. There were people that wrote me letters from all over… so to those people, I apologize," Kid Rock wrote.
