British Prime Minister Theresa May will suspend her general election campaign ahead of the United Kingdom's upcoming election in the wake of the Manchester attack, according to a new report.
May, who first took office last summer when she replaced former PM David Cameron, will stop campaigning for the June 8 election, BBC reported.
An explosion outside of an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, killed 19 people and injured dozens. Police are treating the incident as a possible act of terrorism. Some reports claimed a suicide bomber was responsible for the explosion.
May, a conservative, reacted to the attack in a statement: "We are working to establish the full details of what is being treated by the police as an appalling terrorist attack.
"All our thoughts are with the victims and the families of those who have been affected."
