Real estate magnate Donald Trump thinks the White House is in need of a grand ballroom to handle large, special events like state dinners, or perhaps an inaugural gala in say, 2013 featuring The Donald.

Trump, who is considering a run for the GOP nomination, has offered to build a $100 million grand ballroom. He came up with the idea after seeing tents erected on the White House lawn for big events,
the New York Post reports.
Trump said he discussed his proposal with President Barack Obama’s adviser David Axelrod.
"I called up the White House about a year ago. And I saw that they were having lots of functions for people like the President of China . . . And I said, 'Every time I see a function, you put an old broken canvas tent up,'” Trump told ABC News, according to the Post.
"I said, 'I will build you, free of charge, one of the great ballrooms of the world. It'll cost maybe $100 million."
