CNN: No Guns Allowed at Trump's NRA Speech

Friday, 28 April 2017 01:37 PM EDT

Guns are banned at President Donald Trump's speech at the National Rifle Association's annual meeting in Atlanta on Friday, CNN reported.

The Secret Service announced Thursday firearms will have to be left outside a checkpoint; such restrictions are common for any event at which the president speaks, CNN noted.

At the rest of the annual NRA conference, held this year at the Georgia World Congress Center, guns are allowed, CNN reported.
